Oladapo Ojo popularly called DO, is a go - getting Nigerian with a penchant for innovations. A calculated serial entrepreneur, with a deep knowledge of content creation, his passion for affecting the world is seen in his massive investment along the production value chain within the education, technology and media landscape.
DO came into marketing communications in 1992 and soon found his niche in TV production. He has created, produced and directed various projects unique projects such as PZ Your Choice; StyleQuest makeover show, Bacchus Luventure dating TV & radio shows, Unilever’s Tasty living as well as documentaries and TV commercials for Johns Hopkins University (JHU), Nigeria Distillers Limited (NDL), National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA) and many other programs.
In 2004, DO founded DM Audiovisuals with the sole purpose of using media content to drive the marketing communication needs of discerning multinational companies which he excelled in with projects like: HOUSE4 Talent Hunt reality show, Guinness Friend or Foe, GSK’s Lucozade Boost Freestyle, and Nestle GoldMorn Rockazz to mention a few.
DO’s quest to break new frontiers in the audiovisual content, production and broadcast market, led to the formation of DM Holdings Limited, a holding company with subsidiaries that make up the structure of his vision for content & broadcast development in Africa. The functions of the subsidiaries include media marketing & buying, content generation & production, studio & broadcast equipment leasing.
With three (3) state-of-the-art full HD TV studios (including the biggest studio in West Africa) and world-class equipment, DM Holdings has become an industry leader in pioneering major entertainment developments in the African market with the creation, and development of programmes such as Cowbellpedia national mathematics TV quiz; InterswitchSPAK National Science Competition, in Nigeria and Kenya; SingtheSong- a music game show, Champ inter-school national quiz contest, WordSmith National English Language Contest, and Ongacious, a lifestyle and family culinary show.
DO’s interest in story telling has also led to the conceptualization and production of several drama series and commissioned movies such as Emerald, Unayi (the Police Station & Health Centre), ThirtyMinutes, Swing, Trulis and Tousled.
In 2021, DO founded CruxDeals limited, an organization with special focus on using technology to deliver educational and lifestyle solutions for everyday needs in Africa.
Oladapo Ojo, an alumnus of Lagos Business School (Pan Africa University), has a Master’s degree in Business Administration and a first degree in Banking and Finance. DO is a registered associate member of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON); Institute of Bankers, South Africa (IOBSA); South Africa Institute of Management (SAIM); Institute of Risk management South Africa (RMISA)
